The Rickwood House Hotel is a large detached property, with a somewhat restricted view of the village and the sea. Set back from the road, and in a quiet spot, the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing.
Our bedroom was of a good standard. The bedlinen was lovely and the room was warm. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a little dreary, and although clean, could have done with a touch of individual care.
The lounge, which is in the conservatory, was warm and comfortable, with a range of board games and books.
Breakfast was served in the dining room and the porridge was excellent! The fried breakfast was a bit on the small side, and not well-done enough for my liking but was enough to make it through to an early lunch!
The owners of Rickwood House are friendly and will answer as many questions as possible about the area or your travels around Scotland.
