This B&B was a godsend on our walk of the West Highland Way. We had walked 20 miles in the pouring rain and we were soaked through and miserable. We arrived to a friendly and efficent welcome from Ellen who seemed to understand just exactly how knackered we were. We stripped off all our very wet gear in her porch and she just dealt with it all and took it to her drying room - boots, jackets, trousers, rucksacks the lot. Two minutes later she was in our room with a pot of steaming tea and home made flapjack - heaven!
Later we had an excellent home made 3 course meal for just £12 plus a glass of sloe gin (need I mention it was also home made). We got a huge and very nice breakfast the following day. Plus headed off again, with a renewed spring in our step and a delicious packed lunch in our packs. We had a choice(!) of what we wanted for our lunch, didn't come across that anywhere else on the walk.
The room itself was good too. 3 single beds plus tons of space for our stuff. Reasonable bathroom with good shower pressure.
Overall - this is exactly what a B&B should be like. Stay here if you are doing the West Highland Way.
