“Lovely B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer. Bernadette is a lovely host and the house is beautiful. The room we stayed in (Room 2) was large and had a great view down Loch Lomond. I thought the traffic on the A82 (over a field) would keep me awake but it was quiet after 9pm. The bed was huge and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. With a great breakfast in the morning, you can't ask for more. Will definitely use again if we're in the area.

We stayed for four nights in a lovely room with a massive four poster bed , ask for room 4 ! The view was everything that you could want from Loch Lomond. Bernadette was a fabulous host who guided us faultlessly so that we saw the best of the area. Simply do what see says! The breakfast was excellent and we sat in a bay window with great views. Superb guest sitting room. Recommended without hesitation.

Room Tip: Room 4 was fabulous. We saw room 2 which was excellent too.

Very very welcoming. We were passing through on an end to end cycling trip. Our clothes were dried for us and our bikes safely stored. We were given a lift to a nearby restaurant for the evening too. Fabulous rooms. Awesome breakfast. Many thanks - we made it too the top :)

Amazing hospitality, stunning house and bedroom and spectacular views over Loch Lomond. This is the nicest guest house I've stayed at for a long, long time. We had the superior room with 4 poster bed with views over the Loch. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.
The breakfast was really good and the owner was very friendly without being over-bearing. This establishment shines a bright light on how a great B & B should be run.
Highly recommended and a must stay if your looking for great value accomodation in the area.
5 STARS *****

Room Tip: Superior room with 4 poster bed. Style, elegance and amazing views over the Loch.

Glebe Country House is everything you could ask for in a B&B experience - a beautiful, well-maintained country house with views of Loch Lomand, friendly and informative hosts and a comfortable and relaxing room, for a very reasonable price. Bernadette was so welcoming when we turned up in the rain for our stay and very thoughtful - she asked us when we'd like breakfast the next morning, and remembered our little preferences perfectly. We stayed in the room with the giant four-poster bed which was the most luxurious night's sleep I've ever had. The room is gorgeously decorated as well. It was very hard to leave! Bernadette even gave us some great advice on where to go for a walk the next day. Our visit was perfect, and we will definitely stay there again and tell all our friends to stay at the Glebe Country House as well.

Room Tip: Room four with the four-poster bed has a wonderful view of the Loch, and a delightful bathroom.

We stayed in the king four poster room (room 4) which faces the front of the property and provides a lovely view over Loch Lomond even in the rain! We did find the room a little cold at times but then the weather was a little changable. Good size bathroom with both shower and bath. Room 2 which is a double ensuite will also provide this view. There is a twin room which faces out onto a garden at the side and a further room at the back of the house.

This is a lovely property and you have access to the lounge area which has open fire, which we made use of.

Bernadette was very welcoming and helpful/knowledgable of the local area when it came to things to do and restaurants to visit (please see separate review on Village Inn, Village Rest and Loch Lomond Arms).

One thing we did find a little uncomfortable was when returning during the day sometimes our room door would be open even though we closed it. Maybe as we come from down South we have a diferent view on security and appreciate at times we were the only guests but just something personally we did not like.

Room Tip: Pick a room facing the front (Rooms 2 & 4 ensuite) for the Loch View. Would definately recommen...

The house is most beautifully and lavishly decorated. The rooms are very comfortable with magnificent views of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond. It certainly was the best B&B experience ever! Bernadette's breakfast was out of this world! The previous evening, we had told her our plans to climb Ben Lomond the next day so she made some delicious porridge to give us energy and even us packed us some sandwiches to go! She is truly wonderful! Really looking forward to staying there again!
