Love everything about this place. However beware of the crazy greenkeeper. Put a foot on his grass and he comes after you like a raging bull! Reminded him of the Scottish right to roam which he said was a load if rubbish.

Good Hogmanay break, fantastic scenic location. Lodges could do with an upgrade. Entertainment good. Food for the hogmanay party was very poor & bad value & badly organised.

Room Tip: Check for an upgraded lodge!!

We are in the process of upgrading our accommodation and facilities so hope you will notice the changes on your next visit.

With regard to the Hogmanay party we have taken on board your comments regarding the food and organisation and have already started planning for this year so we hope you will return to experience the improvements we have made.

Stayed here 4 times now last time in Sep 2011. Always stayed in one of the caravans and they are always 1st class. The machines in the play area and the arcade could do with all being fixed as at least half are broken. Food good in Rob Roy bar and swimming pool excellent. Amazing scenery all around you. All staff very helpful!

Just back from a Xmas break at this hotel and it was excellent.
Food staff and accommodation very very good.
Some donuts on here giving reviews.... go you will love it.
weather was naff, but how December with storms what do you expect.
Nothing was to much trouble for the staff here, made our break an outstanding event.
as for the single access road, get a life. plenty wide enough and passing places by the score. we arrived in the dark and howling gale and it was fine.

Room Tip: ask for rooms 1 to 8 if you want older room style or 9 plus if you want modern on lower level.

Hi all,
Never posted a review or felt a need too.
I have filled out the feed back form and sent it in too, I should also say Ive been to drimsynie 5 times now and every christmas for the last four years.
Please dont think im moaning, im honestly not its intended as constructive.
Stayed in Eagle 4, Have stayed in Eagle lodges a few times now, Lovely big lodge, TV didnt work in the living room, it failed after 10mins. The TV in the main bedroom had NO remote.
There was a 1/4 lump of a broken glass in the dishwasher, fortunatley no cuts so no drama.
Of the machines in the kids arcade,at least 1/3 were out of action, many of the "working" machines swallowed coins and didnt work.Ice rink was out of action for 3 days of the trip. The evening entertainment was to be honest , crap. The chap who does it was there last year and while is a dam nice fellow , he just isnt a jack of all trades and while tried very hard, wasnt very good. The interior of the center is in need of upgrade, gents toilet in bar should be scrapped. The Eagle lodges are starting to look a little dated inside, I notice some lodges are being updated, bit angry with that as they are charging more for a upgraded decor lodge(surley its essential maintance???) .
The good points!!
Staff , were fantastic bar none. They work very long hours and were never too knackered to have a chat or help out when asked.Special note should be made of Craig,Jackie(good luck at dunoon) and the young chap Cameron at reception.I need too thank the maintance electritian (I dont know his name unfortunatley) who came to fix the TV, couldnt get me a replacement so went and got one from HIS OWN HOME and let us use that for the duration, now THAT is above and beyond the call of duty.Rusty the squirrel is a great add on to the site as its nice for the wee ones. The Senery and the Staff made up for any niggles on the holiday.Food was ok,Limited menu but reasonably priced I think to be fair.Despite all my moaning , I will be going back again at xmas as its the place to be,if i can talk the wife into it, Ill be there in the summer as well.

Room Tip: Eagle lodges are fantastic, also the appartments in the village are VERY good, more like a town hous...

We have just come back from our first visit and were a group of 10 adults sharing 2 lodges. Lodges were clean, well stocked, warm with great views over beautiful loch. We paid £85 per lodge for leisure facilities which may have been steep but for the men playing 2 rounds which would have been £13 each time. They were actually hassled by a very rude gamekeeper trying to insinuate that they had not paid. All are members of clubs and know etiquette and this was totally unnecessary.
Other leisure facilities are good if a bit shabby. Dog dirt around the crazy golf was disgusting, pool areas badly lit and drab. Changing areas could to with an uplift.
We stupidly paid £18.99 a head for so called dinner dance, got ourselves dressed up only to find that other guests, including buggies could just stroll in. Food was totally indelible. Management only need look at what is being put in the bin! The chef needs to look up peppercorn sauce, it is not a yellow congealed dollop. Even the coffee from flasks was tepid and staff must see this when coming back to pick up around 6 untouched cups.
There were 3-4yr olds still running around at midnight. I know the place is down as child friendly and we are all parents but this was a Dinner Dance and adults were out for a treat, surely there must be a curfew at this type of function. We could understand the evening before which was karaoke (not karEoke) as advertised! Adults are enjoying a drink and I think it is not unreasonable to expect to not be dancing with young children around as late as this.
We would go back but would steer clear of so called dinner dance . Foodwise it is best to head out of the estate.

Our weekend away was lovely. Everything was so peaceful... minus hearing the bowling throughout the day, above our room.. Be prepared to drive, as it is pretty sucluded. Despite this, the rooms were lovely, and the food was great! I had the duck every night. :D

Room Tip: Not one in the new building.. you will hear people bowling above you all throughout the day.
