“Great little place to eat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

I would recommend this as a place to grab some lunch as it has fantastic views of the waters as you eat and always chose the beer battered fish as it is simply delicious. All other food is okay but for the great scenery and tranquil peace and quite its worth stopping in. Prices are not through the roof either. All in it has never failed to be a great spot for a bite to eat before going out for a walk through the wonderful surrounding area

“Good pub bit pricey”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We visited the bar for a drink while out for a stroll round the village. A pint of beer and a large wine was £8.05. For a local pub I feel this is a bit pricey. The bar is pleasant, friendly staff, however the wine list consists of one make only in three different types, red, white and rose. While a drinkable wine, the lack of variety is disappointing particularly as the price seems high.

“A fantastic restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013 via mobile

A pub and restaurant. Same selection in either. The restaurant is large, the pub a bit small. Coffee and soup all around on a cool, wet day. All the soups were delicious and large servings. Sandwiches ample size, fresh and tasty with lots of chips (fries). The deserts looked amazing but we just didn't have room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. This was a gem tucked away in mid Scotland.

“What a night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Just returned from a night at The Falls of Dochart Inn. What a fantastic night we had. The room was facing the falls and what a view. The bed was a four poster and so comfy. Pillows a plenty. You usually just get a rubbish one pillow, but here you get a oouple and they are also comfy. The bathroom was great as well. Rolltop bath which was unusual as you normally just get a plain bath. Underfloor heating it was fantastic. As for the restaurant's meal was fantastic. As reported on a previous review yes the floor was sticky but that was not from dirt l think it was just needing buffed. But as you can appreciate people are coming in with wet/muddy shoes. We were fortunate enough to be there when a folk singer was performing. Gary Mac Alba Speirs was brilliant and got the crowd going.as for the staff that we met they were brilliant. Shaun (bar manager) was very friendly and we wish him well. Definetly would return.
