Our pary of 14 have just returned for a murder mystery weekend in The Buchanan Arms. We all found the staff exceptionally friendly and obliging. The hotel was very comfortable. The pool and leisure facilities were excellent. The whole stay was fantastic, food great and murder mystery theme well worth a try. We shall certainly return to The Buchanan Arms and recommend a visit. Special thanks to Lesley (reception) and Stephen (Bar).

I booked this hotel for a romantic break to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay, especially the beautiful room[37] We have stayed at Gleneagles and Skibo Castle and this room was up there with them. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent with plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was efficiently run,we never had more than a 10 minute wait for food even when it was very busy. The leisure facilities were great and Maxine the masseuse was excellent. We will be back and I will be recommending this hotel.

just got back from a murder mystery weekend at this lovely hotel. the rooms were lovely and the hotel had a great pool and fitness rooms. we had a ball. there were 14 of us and our every need was catered for. the food was excellent. we will definately be back.great food, lovely staff and entertained with murder mystery, what more could anyone want?

Stayed at this hotel for a 3 day conference. The room was an excellent size, warm and with a great shower. The main conference room we had (just off the dining room) was very warm and had no air, inconvenient for spending all day in there. The soup we were served for lunch each day was a variation on a bowl of salted cream. Although we did not have the normal menu in the dining room on account of it being a conference, for only 30 of us I feel they could have made a better effort as everything was greasy and unappatising. The hotel bar/snuf is a great little cosy for a drink but unfortunately the main lounge was out of bounds during our stay for refurbishment (something we were not told about upon booking). The staff were generally friendly if inexperienced apart from one lady Jean (on at night) was was absoloutely fantastic and went to great legnths for us, she deserves a medal!
