“great home cooked food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013 via mobile

Visited here on day 1 of the WHW. Great service and really nice food. We had the garlic prawns for starters followed by the beef and lamb burgers. No frozen chips here..!! Desert was delicious, my son had the toffee fudge sundae and I had the raspberry and white choc cheesecake. Thoroughly recomended.

“A great little restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013 via mobile

This is a reasonably-priced gem of a restaurant, serving good homely fare. It's a cosy little inn near to beautiful loch lomond. The food is well cooked, generous portions too. I had a lovely arbroath smokie, with potatoes and salad, delicious. My husband had a great beef stew, with proper chips and veg. We both had desserts, mine was a fabulous breadand butter pudding, served with cream. This is good hearty fare, well-prepared. A friendly little inn. The people on the next table to us recommended the accommodation too.

“Nice old Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

We ate here on day 1 whilst walking the wHW. Everyone was very friendly.Although the place was busy our food arrived promptly. It was very nice but I wasn't sure about gravy with grilled gammon-tasted OK though! Very nice praline chocolate torte for pudding-we wished we'd had one each rather than share it!

looking tired and neglected, meal was the same as the surroundings really. A bit dated but could be easily updated

Great pub, great menu, very good food. Get in early for dinner as was getting very busy as we were about to leave. Perfect location.
