“Good B&B”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

We, a group of 5 motorcyclist, stayed there for one night. Nice welcome, beds are good, breakfast is fine. Nice extra is the cottage next to the mean house, where you have all the space you want. Restaurant nearby. (300meters). Would rate very good if there was a special hardened place to put our motorcycles and if the driveway was maintained.

Room Tip: Ask for the guesthouse.

Yes the drive down from Fort William was not long but the large trucks and buses kept me on my game to ensure I got to the Trossachs. The guesthouse is located just out of the village and up a drive from the main road. No noise but it did rain (again) but this has nothing to do with the host. I was swapped to the cottage and what good luck that was is it had a washer and dryer in the kitchen so every scrap of dirty laundry was vigorously washed and dried. Clean at last!!! Clean at last!! The house was well appointed for my needs. I did self cater for dinner after an enjoyable steam boat rise on the SS Walter Scott on Loch Katrine. A bit chilly but that is what Scotland is 4 seasons in one 10 minute spell!!! All things considered the drive through CGlenCoe to the most sign posted place in Scotland was no disappointment. Breakfast with home made jams was exceptional and I did enjoy this house and the hosts, well done!!

Room Tip: If you can get the self catering cottage it is a gem!!!!

Arrived ( family of five) after hard day's cycling ( lands end to J'Groats) and made very welcome. Stayed in the self-contained little annex cottage that slept the five of us comfortably; and had little sitting room & self-contained kitchen. UNBELIEVABLY good value for money -- at only £55 TOTAL - plus £5 each for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious and generous. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Arrived by train with luggage so took a cab cost £3 but not necessary as easy to find on road from station. Lovely welcome and comfy lounge to relax and watch tv / chat with other guests. Good sized room with a view. Quality breakfast with homemade jam. Well cooked. Tried porridge & scrambled eggs. Child friendly with added bonus of owner allowing use of trampoline in garden. Very good value .

Stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with a comfy living room, fully equipt kitchen and bathroom with tioletteries. The bedroom upstairs was cosy and clean and the bedroom downstairs had a double decker bed. The sheets and bedding was clean and smelled good. Was really happy to find the place clean as I am very picky abt cleanliness. We comfortably cooked and enjoyed our meal on a small dining table and even had our clothes washed and dried in a day as there was also a washing machine and dryer. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

This was our first stop of a "grand tour " of Scotlands NW. when i say grand tour i use the Yorkshire meaning of tour ie lovely not Grand as in full european as in older times. On arrival we were greeted by John and made to feel most welcome. The room was ensuite , relatively small but wonderfully clean as was the bathroom. There were tea making facilities and biscuits ( very nice after a long day)There was a great place to eat a few mins away by foot. We were given a list of options for breakfast . We duly selected everything on the list and were rewarded next morning by a plate full of the best quality (award winning) fare you could imagine beautifully cooked. We rounded off this with "Granny Campbell's" home made marmalade on toast. It was a shock to find out that Granny was actually 6 foot + built like a brick outhouse and called John!!!.
The parking is excellent and well off the road for those in classic cars and a real plus is that John does take cards. We will go again on our way to the north coast next time.

Room Tip: An ensuite is the best way to go
