This was our first stop when arriving in Loch Lomond on a wet day. After a long drive, we were ready for a roast dinner before going to our hotel to check in. After having read reviews on trip advisor we chose The Lochside. When we arrived, there was only one other couple in the restaurant! However, this meant we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves for a quiet, romantic meal. We had the lunch deal £12.50 for 2 courses and to be honest, the quality of the food was so good I would have been happy paying double! The roast beef literally melted in your mouth, very generous portions. The soup starter (chorizo, bean and tomato) was delicious. We could not manage dessert but they looked really tempting! The waitress was friendly and the service was great. All in all, a fantastic experience. Anyone visiting Loch Lomond should go there. We were staying at the Cameron House hotel which was lovely but we were glad we didn't pay the extortionate prices in their restaurant.
