Whilst staying at the log cabins on the other side of the loch we decided to venture to the village inn for dinner. It wasn't the easiest place to find , but oh yes I was glad we found it. It was very clean, cosy and fresh inside and the service was very good.
The biggest attraction was the menu, both myself and partners are chefs and we were impressed by the choice and quality of food on the menu. The curried potato soup was a winner, I did ask the waitress if my pallet was right in detecting coconut milk, lemon grass and a hint of green thai paste in the soup, but unfortunately she never got back to me on that one ?. My partner had the wild boar pate which was a first for her , but she loved it. The mains were also vast and tasty and there were no complaints at all with the food. Compliments to the chef, he obviously knows his way around a kitchen, and impressed a usually hard to impress couple when it comes to food. I would have given 4stars, but for the lovely menu and chefs lovely food, its a 5. If u visit Arrochar , drive through, whatever u do, give the village in a visit.
