Owner description: Welcome to Loch Katrine - one of Scotland's special places. Just as special as the magnificent scenery is the famous steamship "Sir Walter Scott" which itself has been a landmark in The Trossachs for over a hundred years. Your visit is not complete without a cruise on this wonderful ship, or on "Lady of the Lake", the perfect way to experience the beauty of Loch Katrine. Perhaps you'll just want to relax with a coffee or a meal in the Brenachoile Cafe Bar, shop for a souvenir and take a stroll by the shore, or bring the family for a cycle trip?

“Wow - spectacular views”

The views, lovely cafe by the Loch, very friendly staff. Weather too windy for boat trip or fishing, but on a different day would try both.

“Glasgow water supply”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

This was a lovely cruise on Loch Katrine. Be aware that at the top of the Loch there is a 15 minute stop and you have the opportunity on board to pre order fish and chips, picking it up and enjoying it at leisure on the way back down the Loch. Interesting historial facts about Rob Roy are related by the Captain (not pre recorded). We recommend this to anyone visiting the Trossach area and who enjoys a spot of comfortable wilderness.

“Great for a walk, cycle or taking in the scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Great location for a drive out, narrow road up to the Loch but it is a gorgeous secluded spot - a real favorite for us.

“Loch Katrine Sail on Sir Walter Scott”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Excellent sail with beautiful scenery and a decent commentary. Drive from Calendar to to Loch Katrine was in itself worth the trip. Care has been taken in the design of the pier side and to good effect. The steamship is very nice . Well worth the effort and I would recommend visitors to the area include in their itinerary.
