We have recently had a lovely stay at the Ardyne and thororoughly enjoyed it. Friendly and helpful hosts, David and Kate. Quiet and cosy bedroom with wonderful sea view looking towards the Cowal Peninsula. Delicious breakfasts. Everything clean. We certainly recommend Bute for a holiday and hope to return in the summer. Rothesay has some very good restaurants recommended by David and Kate. There is a magnificant castle to visit and lots of beaches for walks etc.
Our hosts had good knowledge of local attractions and things to do. Unfortunately Mounstewart House isn't open until April.
Best of all, David and Kate allow dogs in the guest house so we were able to give our two muts a holiday too.
And importantly they provided fresh milk on request for our tea in the bedroom!!
