“Good Food, good entertainment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

We took friends to the Strontian Hotel restaurant to enjoy the food and be entertained by the young musicians who are part of the Ceilidh Trail. What a super night it was. I had the Hebridean hot and cold smoked salmon with brown bread and salad and I didn't want it to end. The two males in the party enjoyed the steak with excellent chips and our female friend had the nut roast. When the food was finished the tables were cleared by the door and we were entertained to amazing music and singing by the young band. There are lovely views across the loch outside. There are tables outside. Good clean toilets. Highly recommended.

“Poor show”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

Overpriced and very basic, disappointing! Seemed disorganised, the only saving grace was the young waitress, who was polite & working hard. The food was not particularily accomplished offering poor value. Locality was the only positive as within walking distance if staying in Strontian. Relatively high bar meal prices and would expect ladies toilet facilities to be - working, clean and lockable, unfortunately not! Condiment sachets mostly out of date.
There is however a good view.

“Poor Food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2012

Ate hear during a holiday in the area. Half the things that were on the menu were not available. None of the specials were available. Ended up having a beef pie that was my 4th choice. It was tasteless and the beef was like rubber.

Chips were good and so was the beer.

Should be serving local produced food and Scottish classics. Going back to the same area in October, will gladly call in for a few pints, but will drive 1/2 hour up the road elsewhere for better food.
