“Beautiful house, rooms, gardens and breakfast!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014 via mobile

We left Collaig House about an hour ago and already miss it. The house is located in a most beautiful scenery, truly peaceful. The gardens are superb and the house and rooms furnished elegantly and with style. The hosts are warm, extremly friendly and helpful with anything. Breakfast is delicious, including home made sausages and Bacon and much more. Five stars and many thanks from Germany, Chris and Eva

We really enjoyed our four night stay and were delighted with the accommodation, food and hospitality.
Our room was very comfortable, clean and warm. Julie and Jamie just go that extra mile to help with area information, maps, guides and their personal recommendations for walks or places to visit.
The food was delicious, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening meal on our arrival night, just perfect and breakfast was super too! Julie even made a brown loaf especially for us!
Brilliant B and B in a very out of the way spot to relax and be spoilt!!

Room Tip: Our room had a private but separate bathroom adjacent, the other room is en suite, we did not find i...

If you want to be on cloud nine, come rain or shine , then this is the place for you. Julie and Jamie are the friendliest and nicest hosts imaginable, give you a big welcome and make you feel totally at home. If you have any special needs/requests they will bend over backwards to accomodate you! We had the lovely room looking out over the loch in the cottage and it was wonderful to wake up to that view. We had fresh fruit salad/muesli and joghurt/cooked scottish/ scrambled egg and smoked salmon breakfast every morning and if there were six stars to give we would, no matter what you choose. Julie and Jamie have their very happy hens free ranging and theirs will be your eggs, bacon and sausages are generally from their own pigs. You can unwind in these most peaceful of surroundings and then of course you are in a perfect jump-off place to go to many places of interest in Argyll, from Oban and daytrips to the Isles to castles and churches, standing stones and burial sites, walking or fishing at the loch, you name it, you can do it but staying at Collaig will always be the icing on the cake. Thank you Julie and Jamie for a most memorable time and we are already planning the next stay, and this time it will be longer than these sadly just three days. We did not want to leave!

Room Tip: Given everything else is perfect any room will be perfect! Choose what's free for your dates and...

The pictures don't do the view justice. Our room was immaculate, the breakfast was fabulous as was the evening meal. Julie and Jamie are lovely hosts. The area is idyllic with lots of forestry around for running/cycling/walking. We had a lovely stay and will be back.

Have just returned from one week at Collaig Byre self catering. We have stayed at many UK cottages but this is the icing on the cake. Very high standard accommodation, friendly owners & immaculate presentation. Suitable for couples & families, magnificent location, superb wifi. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: No fitness centre required; plenty of local activity for fitness.

We stayed here in August 2013 and what an amazing stay. The place and surroundings were beautiful. The room was spotless and felt like it was brand spanking new. Julie was a great host and so accommodating, willing to go that extra mile. Worth every penny

Would definitely recommend and would love to come and stay here again. It made our trip to Scotland so amazing and memorable.

Stayed only one night but will return as this b&b was sheer luxury. Very warm welcome from Julie and her lovely home baking! Our room was the super king room and was beautifully decorated, clean, and very comfy. Gluten free diet accommodated.
