We recently stayed at Thistle House Guest House and were blown away by the location which is on loch Fyne with wonderful views over to Inveraray Castle. Our room was the highest quality of any guest house we have stayed in the past. The roaring log fire and complimentary dram of whisky is most welcoming after a full day out exploring the surrounding beautiful countryside. Breakfast is also top class with a really good choice, not just your normal traditional 'scottish' breakfasts. We are already planning our next trip back.

I totally concur with the other reviews of Thistle House. We stayed there in November 2006 for three nights, and hated to leave. It was attractively decorated and comfortable, and the hosts Paul and Yvonne gracious and accommodating. The area of Scotland is beautiful, and a good location for touring both westward to the isles or north to the Highlands. With the chillier weather at this time of year, there was a fire going in the fireplace to greet us on our return late each afternoon. It was really perfect! We hope to return here some day.

On the banks of Loch Fyne, this guest house is beautiful. We paid for the honeymoon suite and it was fantastic. Paul and Yvonne recommended dinner at Inver Cottage which was informal and lovely and well priced. we would gladly stay here again

My husband and I stayed in this B&B for 3 nights. The owners (Paul and Yvonne) were very hospitable and welcoming. Guests not only have use of recently, beautifully, decorated bedrooms but also a very comfortable sitting room. We had the McClachlan room which had a lovely view out onto the loch and across to Inverary. My husband fell ill following eating out at a local inn and was forced to stay a whole day in bed but Paul and Yvonne could not have been more helpful and considerate. I would recommend this B&B to anyone and we will definitely be returning.
