Owner description: A family-friendly museum on a peaceful riverside site with friendly farm animals, working watermill and interactive displays. Explore fields and woodland walks, join in daily demonstrations and activities, and let the kids go wild in playgrounds, pedal carts and trampolines. Take a trip by tractor, ride the narrow-gauge railway, explore the museum, or bounce around in the indoor soft play area. There is lots to see and do at Almond Valley indoors and out.

“Great value...animals/staff/cafeteria 1st class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

This has been our 4th visit here in the last year so considering we live 50 miles away, speaks for itself how much we enjoy it. The centre is always well kept, animals are well cared for and with handling and feeding sessions, animal lovers like ourselves are in our element ( not just the children! ). If the centre was closer to home, we would definitely visit more regularly. The staff are so friendly, very informative and obviously enjoy their work. And, finally, the cafeteria...yum! Clean, good variety, moreish cakes, wonderful staff and the homemade soup is worth a visit in itself, one bowl is never enough!! Almond Valley is very reasonably priced, ticks all the boxes, a favourite of ours.

“Almond valley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

A great place to visit with children. Lovely animals lots of outdoor activities. The camera obscura was a particular hit with my three children! Very reasonably priced too. I wouldn't hesitate to advise people to visit here. Although I have to say a visit on a dry day will help you make the most of all that here is to offer.
