This really is a great place to stay. Usually, I like to run a mile from hotel food but the restaurant here is excellent. (No idea what the steakhouse is like but the guy I was visiting said it's close to the pool therefore close to the aroma of chlorine!). As of last week, their set dinner was 27.50 sterling and couldn't fault it (a la carte also available). This was my second time staying here and on each occasion the bedroom was huge and very, very comfortable. (It would have been my third stay but previous booking was double-booked so they moved us to the Marriott Dalmahoy, - also fab -provided courtesy buses to and from their resaurant as we'd a table booked for nine of us in Houston House, gave us wine on the house plus Decleor cosmetics for the women and whisky for the men to make up for it - not bad, huh??!). You go across a courtyard to get to the rooms so I suppose there's a chance of getting soaked en route & true enough there is no lift but no biggies as everything else is great. Try it.
