We stayed here at the beginning of April and were in the Johnson room. The views were spectacular . The room was really comfortable and well appointed, complete with the sherry, cake and fruit.
We were made to feel welcome by everyone. The food was out of this world. Wonderful. As an overall dining experience we reckon better than theThree Chimneys. The service was friendly and calm. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Even if you don't stay here go for a meal. You won't be disappointed

Just back from a weekend break at Ullinish, after seeing all the positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Very happy to say the Ullinish Lodge fully lived up to expectations on every front!

Things to comment on - great setting and location with outstanding views; spacious, well equipped rooms with much more character that you often see; very friendly and efficient service from the owners and staff, and really fantastic (and very imaginative!) food. What more could you ask for?

Have already recommended Ullinish to others today and will happily continue to do so.

Well done Brian and Pam!

“Agree with the last reviewer”

We chose this hotel due to the previous comments made and believe the last reviewer's comments to mirror our experience.
We have just had 3 days at this hotel, and agree that the hotel is run superbly. Anyone who is looking to set up a small hotel should stay and watch how it should be done.
In respect of the food we feel as though we have been through an enjoyable dining experience. Some of the dishes are experimental and probably will not be to everyone's taste, but both myself and my husband really looked forward to seeing the food and its presentation each evening. We usually do not enjoy hotel breakfasts, however we thoroughly enjoyed this meal every morning. The breakfasts were well cooked and presented, with better quality ingredients being used.
When we booked there was limited availability in respect of the rooms. We stayed in the Harport room, which was not the largest room in the hotel, it was cosy, and had a comfortable bed. If we stay again we will try to book earlier and stay in the Johnson room, however if the only room available was one of the smaller rooms it would not deter us from staying at this hotel.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

“Wonderful Hotel”

From The Marshalls in FIfe

We stayed at The Ullinish lodge Hotel on 1st 2nd and 3rd October this year. We had the Bracadale room which was beautiful and had magnificent views. As well as the tea tray we had a small decanter of sherry, fruit sweets and home made tablet.
As we were on a D/B/B rate we ate in the hotel every night and were very glad that we did so as the food was superb, beautifully cooked and presented - even the breakfasts seemed to have that bit of extra care taken with them. The young Romanian couple who served us were very professional and highly trained yet friendly. We really enjoyed our break in this hotel, it is immaculate, beautiful food, very professionally run by owners who are there if you need anything but are not "in your face", and fantastic views. The only gripe we might have was the sneaky charge of £2.50 per person for after dinner coffee!

What i liked about this place apart from the obvious (great location and food) is how new it all seemed. I don't know how long it has been since it's last refurb but it's very well kitted out for a lodge on the edge of now where.

As part of a mini tour round Scotland we stayed in a few different hotels this one did the best cooked breakfast.
