We stayed for 3 nights at the Flodigarry hotel on the "Autumn Gold" tariff. It took just over an hour to get there from the Skye bridge. The hotel was beautifully positioned just past the turn off for the village, with a lovely view of Harris and the Torridon peaks.
As promised, we were upgraded on arrival as their was additional space in the hotel. The room was average size and clean. The decor was ageing, but very comfortable. The room had a separate bathroom and WC, but the shower was not very good.
The food was good. None of the meals were exceptional, but they were all fine. One of the nights we visited the three chimneys restaurant for dinner, this was more expensive, but the food was exceptional.
The staff were attentive, although the hotel seemed to keep only two on duty at a time. To get attention you had to ring a bell. The staff went off duty fairly promptly at 10:30 and asked whoever was left up to turn off the lights etc, which seemed slightly odd.
Overall I had a good stay and felt that I received the level of service I had paid for. At standard rates, I think I would have been slightly disappointed.
