“Warm stay on Skye”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

What a wonderfully warm and welcoming b&b! The inn was very artistically posh - I loved the decor completely! It was so comfortable and relaxing. We had been traveling all over Scotland and Simon & Kristy were so welcoming and ready to help make our experience truly special. You could tell they were genuinely kind and loving with everything they did. We watched the sunset (amazing) where Kristy suggested. It was beautiful!!! Breakfast was simply delightful as well. We wish we could have eaten dinner there as Simon made such a delicious breakfast!!!

We stayed in The Barn, Culnanoc, opposite the Glenview and went there twice during our stay for dinner.

The service is excellent without being over the top and the food is out of this world . This place beats the 'Three Chimmneys' in every aspect Give it a try you won't be disappointed. Booking is required and they don't open (the Restaurant) on Sunday/Monday. Can't wait for our next trip to return.

My husband and I stayed three nights at the Glenview. Beyond the gorgeous scenery of the Isle of Skye, the Glenview is situated perfectly about 20 minutes drive time north of Portree. The room was perfect, large, clean, and with fresh fruit each day. But, what really set the Glenview apart from many hotels/B&Bs that we have stayed at over the years, was the hosts. Simon is simply an exceptional chef and host. We ate two of our three dinners in the restaurant and had one of the best dishes I have ever had - a scallops dish that would receive high marks for presentation and taste on any professional cooking show. Simon also went above on some requests we had. We would return in a heartbeat.

We fell in love with the Isle of Skye! It is magnificently beautiful, and The Glenview is a wonderful place to stay. We loved that it is a bit away from town - we loved the quiet. Our room was cozy and beautiful. Breakfasts were marvelous. We had dinner only the first night - and it is a dinner we will long remember. Delicious and beautiful. The three nights we stayed were about in the middle of our three weeks in Scotland, so we were delighted to find a laundry in the market in Staffin - about a mile from the inn. The Glenview is a beautiful place to call home during a visit to the Isle of Skye.

My friend and I decided to do a little road trip through Scotland. Wanting to see the less populated, more picturesque areas, we decided on the northern area of the Isle of Skye. What a pleasant surprise it was to pull up to the Glenview. It is settled in a gorgeous area and it really was exactly what we were looking for. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely woman (I'm insure of her name) who gave us a few suggestions as to we're we should explore the following day. Since we had been driving for 6 hours, we were happy to get up to the room and see it was immaculate with cookies and treats waiting for us. The hosts Kirsty and Simon were more than accommodating, allowing us a late checkout, letting us use their iPad to research on the internet, the food was delicious and the decor was right up my alley. Great energy in this place!!! Will definitely be recommending. Thanks so much for a great stay!

We spent 2 nights B & B at the hotel and throughly enjoyed it. It is small, intimate and comfortable, and we were made very welcome by the owners Kirsty and Simon. We hadn't stayed near Staffin before and so enjoyed the new, rural location. The food was excellent with the restaurant buzzing at dinner.

We spent one night at this lovely bed and breakfast hotel where the owners Simon and Kirsty made us feel very welcome. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated.
The food prepared by Simon is just lovely.
I definitely recommend this cosy place.
