My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in 2006, and were very pleased with our visit. We stayed in a room on the top floor that had a window overlooking the bay. The view was gorgeous. You could see the hills and the ships that were docked there. The hotel is right in the middle of town, so it is easy to walk anywhere. There is a pub on the first floor of the hotel, but it was not noisy and did not disturb our sleep. The hotel is not luxurious, but it is clean and nice and a great value.

A fantastic place to stay. Can't fault it. Spectacular views, friendly host, and welcoming atmosphere from all customers and staff. They would kill you with kindness. A great place to get away from it all.

We stayed at the Pier Hotel during our European Vacation this year (05) for two nights. The rooms are small and cramped but clean and tidy and the view! What a view. We were on the top floor and all rooms overlook the harbour and distant hills, fantastic. The hotel is central for touring the island and the included hearty breakfast is the best way to start the day. They had a nice selection of malts in the bar but no non-smoking areas which are bit rare in the whole of the UK - but then again they didn't have room either. The staff were very friendly.

Fantasticplace to stay right on the sea front. The bar was excellent with a great atmosphere, Just like pubs used to be. Lots of locals who are all very informative no matter how much they drink!! The rooms were clean and the staff fantastic, (David the barman kept us amused all night). We will be back again soon.
