Stayed for one night (two adults and one child). The room itself was large and very clean with modern ammenities. Bathroom was also very large and clean. Parking was almost non-existent and had to find a spot further down the road. Hotel staff were friendly - and when we booked into one of the two restaurants for dinner, realizing the prices were a bit beyond our means not to mention the food not to our liking, decided to move to their other restaurant on-site (basically, beside each other). When told that it would be over an hour wait, asked if there was anything they could do. Hotel manager, was able to get us in within 10 mins (not sure how he did this as it was fully jammed) so was appreciative of his offer. The only negative - the hotel is not air-conditioned - which in Scotland is the norm, and an open window will provide you with the cool air needed. However, our room was directly above the bar (second floor) - which, given the no-smoking code in enclosed areas, meant everyone spilled out in front of the bar - laughing, joking (and obviously, a tad bit inebriated) and . . . smoking - both the sounds and the smoke ade it's way into our room. As we were only there one night and totally exhausted, decided to make do (with closed windows). If you decide to stay, make sure you are not facing the front or are over the bar.
