We stayed at the Bosville for 3 nights and regretted every one of them. Parking at the hotel is extremely limited and staff unhelpful with recommending alternatives. Our room was clean, comfortable and of a reasonable size. The main issue with the room was that the walls were so thin that you felt like those staying next to you were actually in your room. Noises in the hotel were compounded by the deliveries each morning at the supermarket right outside the window at 6am sharp. Dont stay here if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast was good with a variety of hot and cold options- staff helpful. Stay clear of the Bistro resturant in the evening which resembled having food in a 1980's motorway service resturant- over priced, under cooked and lacking any style. Hotel bar is probably the highlight- warm and welcoming with friendly staff. We loved the Isle of Skye and Portree but would never stay at the Bosville again. Don't be misled by the well designed hotel website.

We arrived at the hotel and stood at the front desk while the girl kept sorting through papers- finally after some time she acknowledged us.Not at all welcoming.

No elevator. Poor parking. Very small room that had an awful smell especially in the bathroom. There was actually what looked to be black mold around the shower. We reported it and the smell and they simply covered the mold with caulk .

The food was fair. The Bistro was very uninviting as far as decor. The web page certainly made the place look a lot better than it is in person.

I was not happy to leave th Isle of Skye but very happy to leave the Bosville Hotel.

Lovely room we paid for superior room which was well worth it fresh clean new and modern. We stayed only one night whilst at a Franz Ferdiand concert probably the only time I will go to Skye As it was a very long drive even from Perth and remote and not really my thing the people we met were nice and the breakfast was lovely. Only down side was room over looked the local Sommerfield and was woken at 6 when their deliveries for the day were delivered however also overlooked the harbour which was nice. Beaware that the rooms on the website are the superior rooms and the website slightly oversells the hotel .

After a long long drive we were pleased to find a parking space right outside (but didn't dare move the car again until the next morning unless we lost the space!)

We only stayed 1 night as a stop off to Uig Ferry Terminal. The staff were very friendly. Our room didn't have much of a view and was above the kitchen, but by 11pm everything was nice and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room.

Ate in The Bistro that evening and had an enjoyable meal.

we stayed in one of the hotel's premier rooms for 4 nights. The room was ok but certainly nothing special. I would certainly be very unhappy at paying the full price of some £150 a night for it. The room had been recently refurbished and was nice however the bathroom was a severe let down. At £150 a night I've stayed in travel lodges that had bathrooms of this standard.very cheap bath that you could actually push the plastic out on with your foot when in it! As for the shower-pathetic flow rate which in this day and age in a hotel of this standard is just quite inexcusable. The temperature control was an absoloute nightmare with there being about a 1mm difference on the dial between freezing and scalding, once the temperature was set it did not stay like it for the next shower either. The bathroom itself was just cheap and poor quality.
We had a broken bedside lamp that fused all the lights twice during our stay which was a pain.
We ate in the bistro one night and the food was very poor. The atmosphere even more so! I'm not sure why anyone would think that bright lights and conference style furniture and huge windows for everyone on the street to stand and stare through seems like the ideal atmosphere for a bistro! Tip for the hotel- dim the lights, frost at least some of the window for privacy and put some table cloths on and the place could be transformed. ditch the cheap frozen food and cook homemade basics using fresh ingredients.
