A very warm welcome awaits here. In todays world of big companies whose sole purpose is to make money, its lovely to stay in a family run hotel. Lovely rooms, very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. The food is outstanding, absolutely fantastic. Beautiful location overlooking the harbour. Well worth a visit, highly recommended.

Spent one night at the Rosedale during the first week of opening for the season 2008.
Lady at reception was friendly and helpful and we were shown to our room through a maze of corridors.
Heating had been put on in our room prior to our arrival and the room was clean and tidy with great views over the harbour.
Better seating in the room would be a bonus especially if you are stuck inside on a wet day, and there are plenty of them on Skye.

We did not have dinner as we did not find anything on the menu appealing. I would describe the breakfast as adequate.
Parking is very limited at the front of the hotel which is a dead end road. Be prepared to reverse up to the main road when leaving.

Overall good value for money and I would certainly stay again in the future, though it would not be my first choice if staying for more than a couple of nights.

A clean, warm hotel automatically gets 3 stars from me. Clean it certainly was but the room was cold when we arrived. There are storage heaters which were switched off so it took several hours to heat up. So normally that would have knocked it down a star but the hotel is pleasant and in the best position right on the harbour. Be certain to ask for a front room as the view is fabulous. Only 3 stars though because there are niggles - breakfast not served until 8.30 which is crazy, plastic shower curtains which are my pet hate and no easy chairs in the room. The staff were friendly but a little unhelpful - my request for cotton thread to do a little repair work was not forthcoming. You will definitely do ok here but dont expect too much.

We just loved this hotel! From the extremely thorough and friendly check-in, to the quirky maze of stairs and hallways, to the views out over the harbor. We really just loved it! The location is terrific and at night, it becomes very quiet. Breakfast was very nice, too. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. We were there with our two teens and we took two rooms. Their room was also just perfect. An A+ experience!
