“Its the Highlands”

Now you have to remember, your way up in the highlands, so when you book this hotel they are all the same. No showers,Russian staff, no telephone in the room,small rooms,isolation,limited entertainment,4 channel television and so on. Basically this is the highlands, you have Aviemore with its revamped hotels which is like a holiday camp but there is virtually no modern hotels. The beer is cheap, get drunk you won't notice the difference.

We stayed at the Kings Arms in October, 24 of us went over in a coach ur ages ranged from early 20's to 50's. We had a fab time and couldn't fault the staff at all, the rooms were nice and clean and the food was lovely. We frequented the public bar quiet often which was also friendly. Although the hotel is quiet the is a couple of cracking bars with live entertainment on each night which are certainly not quiet. All in all a fab place to spend the weekend.

hello ... to anyone going to this Hotel...do not be afraid to book it ..it is very nice and very clean...my wife and I went for four nights and had an excellent time...staff are very helpful ((( even tho some people ( Loud Americans ) seem to think they cannot speak english ))) ... the rooms are basic , small with a bath , but no shower , the food is first class...
This hotel is used by Trafalgar Tours and as such you might find some loud visitors ... please be aware that the Isle of Skye is not Blackpool and the Kings Arms is not the Ritz ... but for a quiet and relaxing break in beautiful scenery .........
GO FOR IT...and Enjoy...

“Not a Pleasant Break”

We booked a one night stay at this hotel. It is a Swallow hotel so we expected a certain standard and it didn't live up. We paid £100.00 for a couple for one night. The room had no shower, it had a bath that had mould around it. The room was extremely small. Only 4 channels on the TV, no leisure facilities and the bar was closed until 6.30pm, absolutely nothing for guests to do on a very wet and windy day. There was no telephone in the room and we were unlucky enough to have a room below some broken guttering so listened to rain flooding from the roof down the wall all night long.

We had hoped for a nice romantic break but after being there one night I can recommend highly not going there!

Just back from two night break at this hotel. Hotel clean, rooms quite basic but did the job. Food was very nice. Good choice each night. However they could try to improve the atmosphere throughout the hotel. A little backing music for instance would make all the difference. Diningroom was so quiet it felt like folk were trying to be as quiet as possible....felt uncomfortable about speaking...at all!

I would recomend this hotel for a relaxing, quiet, break.
