We stayed here for four nights and found the hotel more than adequate. It is mainly used by bus tours but we breakfasted late after they had gone for the day and so found it very quiet and peaceful. We had a good room at the front and the view out to the Kyle of Localsh was endlessly fascinating with boats, yachts and ships passing by. In June, sunset lasts from 8.00pm until nearly midnight. We spent our last evening watching the sun set twice -first on the Skye Bridge, turning it gold - then shortly reappearing under the Bridge and sinking into the water - absolutely amazing. I hope everyone's photos turn out well

Stayed one night here and enjoyed it. Grand old hotel in the Scotish manner. Found the food to be very good. However, it does remind one of Faulty Towers to a degree.

We stayed at the Kings Arm Hotel while on a Trafalger Tour. Of 19 nights that we spent on tour, this was without a doubt the worst of the hotels at which we stayed. And the tour promised first class accomodations! This was more like third.! Our room was on an upper floor, but we only took the lift (elevator) once as it was so ancient that it felt and sounded as though we would be trapped in it! Our room was quite small (okay, we know that the older hotels have small rooms) and it overlooked the back door to the kitchen was was quite noisey. We went to take a shower and much to our surprise there was no shower, only a bathtub. When I went to call the desk to arrange for a wake-up call since there was no clock in our room, I found no phone in the room (only one in the hall). I went to the desk and he said that the staff would knock on our door. Our two meals in the restaurant were adequate, but don't ask for anything special, most of the wait staff can not speak English! When I left the key at the desk upon checkout, I could not resist and said, "Thank you Fawlty!"
