My wife & I had the pleasure of staying at the Duisdale Lodge for two wonderful nights of peaceful rest & relaxation. The room was spacious, with a full bath and beautiful view across the grounds to the nearby water. After a long drive from Glasgow airport, we took the bridge from the mainland (which to our surprise is toll free now) and arrived just in time to catch dinner. Dinner was superb both nights, and would be well worth the drive for the dining alone if you are in the area. Beef Pot Pie was to die for and the salmon was delicious. The staff was exceptional, to letting the kitchen know we would be late one night, attending to my wifes dietary restrictions (with a smile), to printing out a trip planner for our next destination upon our departure. Oh, and if you're worried about the single lane roads, don't. It was my first day in Scotland, left hand side of the narrow roads and all, and we did fine (but do rent the smallest car you think you'll need...trust me on that). The nearby Armadale Castle (and gardens, museum, & restaurant...) was also a treat. You should really check this place out if you are planning on visiting Skye.
