“Wonderful stay on Skye”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Booked the Pink Footed Goose as a last minute find and I'm really glad we did. It is located to the north of Skye in a very beautiful location with views over a spectacular bay.
The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable.
Breakfast is delicious and is cooked to order.
Thank you Jenny for a wonderful couple of days, and a perfect 25th Wedding Anniversary.

My wife and I stayed here on a night that we had dinner at the Three Chimneys. We originally tried to book in the House Over-By but it was full. However, they recommended The Pink Footed Goose and we weren't disappointed.

The house is new, spotless and very nice. Views are superb. The lounge area is lovely with a wood burner and a high quality home cinema set-up. The bedrooms were spotless and very comfortable with a huge modern en-suite.

Jane Kiss is a very friendly host and cooks a fantastic breakfast!

Out of all B&B we stayed at in Scotland this was the absolute best: everything is perfect, the location, the stunning views, the rooms are new, spotless and extremely comfortable. Plus Mrs Kiss is a great host: she contacted us to arrange our arrival and suggest a restaurant for our dinner, and the breakfast... Just deserves a separate review!!!! Fresh and dried fruit, all types of bread, cereals and all possible warm options, and you even get your menu to order the day before! Just make sure to get a room here if you go to Skye!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in the Waternish room. The house is only a couple of minutes from Dunvegan and is a lovely new property. The rooms are tastefully decorated and we had a great view from our window. After a long drive over it was nice for my wife to have a choice of DVDs to watch in our room at night. The wi-fi signal in our room was fine. Breakfast was excellent on all 3 mornings: bread from the local bakery, fruit salad and cereals, plus a delicious cooked breakfast option, with kippers a rare treat. I don't think there is any black pudding better than the Stornoway variety they serve here.

We had dinner one night at the Waterside Bistro, which was good, and another night at the Old Schoolhouse, which was very good. As per other reviews, booking ahead for the latter is almost a neccesity - during our meal I would say at least a dozen people were turned away because they hadn't booked.

We stumbled upon this B&B's website while planning our trip to Scotland. It looked like a charming place so we booked it as other well rated B&Bs were fast filling up and could not offer us the space we needed for a group of 5 people. The Pink Footed Goose hadn't begun operations when we booked so there were no reviews on tripadvisor to go on and no rating from visit Scotland. We took a chance on this B&B and we have no regrets at all.

The location of this B&B is amazing. Quiet, serene and a picture perfect view from ever window in the house, including the ones in the bathrooms. The Dunvegan peninsula is very scenic and offers a lot to visitors.... the castle, seals, boat trips, coral beach, good restaurants etc.

We took all three rooms, which were tastefully decorated and lacked no amenities. The biscuits and range of teas and coffees in the rooms were unsurpassed. The bathrooms were of good size and spotless. The decor wasn't fussy and blended in well with the whole environment. There is a lounge on the ground floor for the use of guests with shelves packed with books, board games and a home entertainment system with dvds (if you can bring yourself to tear your eyes away from the stupendous views).

The B&B is very child friendly.... Jenny is well versed with what works for her grandchildren and has incorporated all the same thoughtful touches for her younger guests. For example, the breakfast options include sausages that are less meaty and more to the taste of younger guests. That brings me to breakfast. One of the best we had during our trip. The options were endless. I had the scrambled eggs with salmon one day and it was delicious. All of us, with our varied tastes, enjoyed the fully cooked breakfast, along with the cereals, breads, juices, yoghurt, jams etc that Jenny laid out.
Jenny was a very gracious host. She was very friendly and offered us many helpful tips for our stay. She got in touch with us prior to our arrival and recommended booking dinner at a good restaurant.... luckily we took her advice as the restaurant had to turn many people away who didn't have reservations. She leant us her binoculars so that we could spot the seals.

We were all very glad we chose The Pink Footed Goose to explore the Isle of Skye from. Our stay was lovely and I would be very happy to go back again someday.

My husband and I stayed one night in this beautiful house. Jenny was a great host - very friendly. Our room (Coruisk) was lovely - spotless and a nice size. The house has great views and a nice quiet location - all we could hear were birds and lambs! The breakfast was huge and really kept us going on the long drive home. The DVDs and books were a nice touch too, and if you really must keep in touch with the outside world, you can access the WiFi. The house is new and everything is lovely and fresh. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

The Pink Footed Goose is an excellent bed and breakfast. The Cuillin room we stayed in was very spacious was brilliant views of the Cuillin Mountains and Pool Roag. The sunny warm weather made the views even better. Plenty of storage in the rooms with excellent en-suite facilities even down to the fridge outside the room which refilled each day with fresh milk. Jenny the host cooks a brill breakfast which keeps you going all day. She also gave us good tips on places to visit and eat especially the Old School Restuarant in nearby Dunvegan and also Staffin Beach. The Pink Footed Goose is an excellent base from where you can tour the island from Dunvegan to Uig to Portree all in one day. Also it's very tranquil where you can unwind after a day of sightseeing. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this b&b to friends and family who are visiting the island and we would come back again as we enjoyed our peaceful holiday is this excellent b&b.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Cuillin room the biggest of the rooms. Windows front and back which gives you stun...
