We're just back from an "Easybreaks" 3 night DB&B stay at the Dunollie which cost us £150 in total. After reading so many poor reviews on this website, but being seasoned Easybreak bookers, we knew not to set our expectations too high and expect to get a standard and quality reflective of what we paid. In fact however, Dunollie surpassed our expectations. Yes, we might have been disappointed if we'd paid the rack rate of £70 per night B&B but since we didn't we found it excellent value. The hotel was exceptionally quiet - in fact on our last night we were the only 2 in the hotel for dinner - that however is more to do with the fact people generally don't visit Skye in late November ! The main thing is the room was perfectly clean and comfortable with a stunning view out over the water and the food was acceptable and ample - you don't pay £75 DB&B for 3 nights and expect a 5 star luxury hotel with Michelin star food. You get what you pay for generally although in the Dunollie's case they did more than that for us. And, moreover, Skye is beautiful and without all the seasonal tourists and midgies we had a fantastic trip and will definitely go back. If you are a 'foodie' stay somewhere relatively cheap like the Dunollie and have lunch or dinner at the Three Chimneys or Kinloch Lodge. We enjoyed afternoon tea at Kinloch Lodge and it was a lovely treat - by comparison to stay there for 3 nights would have set us back well over £600 including dinner so Dunollie did the job for a late break.
