My wife and I did stay at the "Skye Picture House" for 1 night only (unfortunately), as we had to drive back to Glasgow the next day. Otherwise I would have spend a whole week there. The ensuite room (Room 5) we stayed at was quite big, tidy and decorated with passion for detail. The beds were very big and comfortable. So we did sleep extremely well.
The very best about the "Skye Picture House" is the community room in the basement with comfy leather couches, huge windows to enjoy the amazing view and a huge wodden balcony to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. From there we did spot a lot of wild life like the otters that live in that area and sometimes even come up to 5m close to the house. See the video on their website. :-)
If you come to Skye you should definately stay here for some nights as everything is easy to reach from here. No matter if you want to go for a hike around "Old man of Storr" or drive down to Elgol for some "Puffin Watch Tour".
The breakfast the next morning was just amazing. The best english Breakfast I had in this 2 weeks that we were visiting Isle of Sky and Outer Hebrides. We will definately come back sometime and stay for longer. That is for sure. :-)
