From our initial email 'conversations' with Helen, and our greeting on arrival, we knew we'd made the right decision to stay at Brockville. Helen's a genuinely friendly and caring person. Our room (Drimmin) wasn't done justice by the photos on the website - it was extremely spacious, very comfortable, tastefully furnished, immaculately clean and with a lovely en-suite shower room.
Whilst we were there (a four-night stay) the other guests were all on a one-night stopover. I don't think you can quite appreciate the thought and effort that Helen puts in to your stay if your visit is brief and a longer stay will be rewarded with all of Helen's daily personal touches and creativity at the breakfast table. I'd imagine you could stay for a month and see a different creation at breakfast each morning!
The details of Helen's little touches are well documented here so I won't list every one. However, we really appreciated having our damp walking boots stuffed with newspaper and dried overnight, without asking. Also, when Helen noticed our red wine in the room she left out two red wine glasses to replace the white wine glasses we'd had with our welcome wine and scones.
I can fully understand why Brockville is a 2012 Trip Advisor Award Winner. Everything that Helen does for you is done through a natural desire to provide excellent service in a caring and thoughtful manner.
Thanks Helen, you truly deserve all your wonderful accolades!
