We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the Hebridian Islands. The room was relatively clean and the bed was quite comfy with nice quality bedding. The en-suite bathroom had a thermostatic shower over the bath which churned out scolding hot water so we could not use it. The receptionist let us use a shower room a couple of doors down so the problem was solved, but we then did not have a fully en-suite bathroom which we had paid for. The light was broken above the bath making the area quite dark, probably why a small slug had found it's way into the bathroom and was trying to escape up the side of the bath. Needless to say i didn't sleep too well and had to tread carefully when visiting the loo in the middle of the night. Breakfast was good with a choice of cereals, cooked breakfast and tea/coffee & toast. My partner ordered poached eggs which arrived undercooked, but fresh ones were delivered quite soon afterwards. On the positive side, we ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent. We didn't fancy walking down the very steep hill to the harbour to find another restaurant. We were also given a couple of free drinks to compensate for the shower problem. When we had to pay £85 on departure, it was 'painful' pressing the buttons on the card machine. Overall, of all of the 9 places we stayed on our trip this was bottom of the list - Sorry! My advice...stay somewhere else.

the park hotel is a nice quiet and peaceful hotel. good rooms clean and comfy. the food is good old pub food. we had the half roast chicken with chips and salad. the chicken was the best I've tasted for a long time. breakfast was cooked well and the full Scottish was wonderful. a very enjoyable stay and would go back again.

Room Tip: sorry disregard the pool comment. my finger went too fast for my brain. there is no pool. try for Jo...

Park Lodge had lovely large rooms. Had a table, chairs, armorie, lots of drawers. It was a very quiet, clean room. Tobermary is a lovely small town. All the buildings on front street are painted in bright colors. You could walk down the hill to the city center but it would be a puffing hill to come back up. The town is a delightful fishing village and you can do your laundry at the marina. Cafe Fish on Main street upstairs on the pier got a 5 star rating. You must have reservations.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor with a double bed.

Stayed for 2 nights with my partner and our little boy. They provided a travel cot, and the room was clean and had tv, kettle and was en-suite. Water from hot tap was VERY hot, but our little boy is not tall enough to reach taps so wasn't a problem, except for ourselves. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, selection of cereals then also option for porridge or cooked breakfast, both very nice. We never ate in the hotel at nights, opting instead to eat in tobermory itself, although my other half did have a few pints in the bar. Very quick walk down the hill into the town, although steep to walk up, it really is 5 mintues so not far at all. Staff were helpful, would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room near reception, 8 or 9 I think, very quiet, and handy for reception.

The staff were helpful & friendly the evening meal & breakfast were very good & of good value. The double room was clean and tidy, the bathroom or should I say the bath with the overhead shower were a bit strange I think your supposed to sit in the bath? All in all the hotel was pleasant and our group had a excellent overnight stay.

The Park Lodge is a pretty nice hotel with very friendly service. The room was nice and clean rather some of the furniture was not in pretty good condition any more. The restaurant and pub was fine, nice food and cold drinks. The breakfast was great. The hotel is located on the hill, just a 5 minutes walk to the harbour.
