First I would like to say a big THANK-YOU to Rebecca, Geoffrey and the rest of the staff for the lovely weekend I've just spent at this hotel. A friendly local family, very helpful and knowledgable about the area, nothing was too much trouble. The food was perfect, and at the price for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast, incredible value for money. We will certainly be back.

As this was a surprise birthday trip I didn't choose the hotel, so when I read the reviews I was very dubious about the accomadation. I cannot understand some of the comments about the hotel, such as leaving a window open they feared they would hit their heads????? THE WINDOWS SLIDE UP SASH STYLE.
Another complaint was that the rooms were small, the superior rooms are far bigger than most hotels I've stayed in, the heaters do have an off switch.
Breakfast, if this was an example of a small breakfast I'd never have been able to eat the large, as these were decent size cooked breakfasts and there was also toast & various cereals on tap, pots of tea & coffee as well.

Once again thanks for a lovely stay and we hope to be back again.

We arrived at Tobermory full of anticipation of a lovely holiday. We booked online, having not been to the island before. Our young daughter is a big fan of Balamory and wanted to stay at 'Josie's House'.

The welcome was non existent; the room small, musty and shabby; the food poor value and the owners response to a request to move room...'not possible' - even though the place was less than half full.

Our daughter was reduced to tears, as was my wife.

Tobermory is lovely. We checked out of this hotel into the Tobermory Hotel which couldn't have been more different: sophisticated yet laid back; great food; fabulous hospitality; sea views and were great with kids.

Go to Tobermory but dont stay at the Park Lodge.

Our tour wound up here because the tour operator gave up on the big old hotel with the great views across the street. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is owned by a young couple who were enthusaistic and accomodating hosts. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was first rate. The inn has a large sitting room with comfy chairs, a kettle, and artwork from a local artist on the walls (that can be purchased.) We had a very enjoyable stay and I hope thay suceed in their ventuire. One tip: the heater is automatic and, although they have placed electric heaters in the room, do not turn it on. The automatic one will work just fine. Otherwise, you will come back to your room and it will be an oven!

This hotel has not long been taken over and is a lovely friendly hotel. Jeffrey & Rebecca Gallagher and their young family go all out to make you welcome.
