My husband and I stayed at this absolute jewel of a hotel on 24 and 25 June, it was superb and the meal we ate on Sunday night was second to none. The staff were exceptional and Andi the owner was so friendly. Our only complaint would be that the bacon served at breakfast was rather hard but what the heck ! Can't wait to stay there again.

This is a very nice small hotel and the hands-on approach of the proprietors and attention to detail is obvious throughout. It's located on the sea-front 'Main Street' and so is handy for everything in Tobermory but parking outside is fairly easy.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is splendid (as well as being appropriately Scottish if you go for the 'full' option). The restaurant is of a very high standard, specialising in local produce and with a comprehensive and reasonably-priced wine list. Tobermory is one of the (very) few Scottish tourist traps where it's hard to get a bad meal and this place is one of the best. We'll be back.

Just returned from 3 nights at the Tobermory Hotel and throughly enjoyed it. A location to die for, the twin room, overlooking the bay was compact but spotlessly clean and well furnished apart from there only being room for one chair. The en-suite bathroom was again spotless and well maintained during the stay.
Although there is no bar as such the staff are happy to serve you drinks in either of the lounges - I recommend the "Terror of Tobermory".
There is, of course the food. All prepared fresh from really local produce - 4 course dinners of a sensible quantity. I even tried dishes that I normally wouldn't consider. And the breakfast - the BEST that I have ever tasted on my many visits to Scotland.
The staff were, without exception, friendly and efficient throughout my whole stay. I mean to say, how many hotels would have staff who offer to go out at 9 a.m. to buy you a souvenir that you'd liked, but didn't have enough time to buy before your taxi to the ferry??
It's not a large hotel but it "does what it says on the tin" and I recommend it.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have always found it excellent. We've had different rooms and all have been comfortable with lovely views. The owners, Andi and Ian Stevens, couldn't be more helpful. They really know the local area and can advise on all the best places to go. Eat in the hotel restaurant - wonderful local food that melts in the mouth.
I was surprised when I read that someone who stayed there was disappointed. It's hard to imagine. We're going again next year and have already booked. I can't recommend it highly enough.
