5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Linda and Tim provide accommodation , hospitality and welcome at the highest standard. Clean , comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and excellent company. They could not have been more helpful providing everything we could have needed, including extremely useful advice on places to visit in the area. This is a perfect place to stay in an idyllic setting.I hope we can return.

We stayed for 3 nights with our 5 yr old. The house and room were very clean bright and comfortable. There is a separate sitting room which was very useful. Basically we had the run of the lower floor which included the bedroom, sitting room and bathroom all connected by a short hallway. There is a large porch which would be useful for wet clothing etc(fortunately not needed on our visit!) Linda and Tim were very welcoming and helpful. They took the trouble to advise uo in relation to various tourist facilities and assisted us to book boat trips etc.Linda was great with our endlessly enquiring 5yr old. The breakfast was very good indeed and we would certainly stay there again.

It took a little time to find as it is off the main road a mile before you come to Fionnphort on a property called Maolbhuidhe Croft; which is the first gate you come to. Go past that to the next gate and you get a warm welcome from Linda and Tim, a comfortable home for the night and an excellent breakfast. There is a sitting room for guests with a host of DVDs if you want to hide from the weather. Their recommendation for dinner was spot on.

We fortuned on some wonderful weather during our recent stay. Linda makes a marvelous breakfast and was super on helping with changes to our ferry schedule as well as arranging trips to Staffa where to eat and such. Her suggestions on dining turned out to be much better than ours. The cottage is comfortable and very clean and Linda also has a wonderful sense of humor and excellent conversationalist at breakfast. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Linda and Tim were so welcoming and friendly to my mum and myself, and nothing was too much trouble, from phoning the Ferry Shop to ensure a newspaper was saved for Mum on our return from Iona one day, to calling the Calmac office and rearranging the time of our ferry on our last day. Despite REALLY wild weather we had a most enjoyable and comfortable stay and felt the service was very friendly and personal. The Mull eagles may have been grounded but instead a mountain hare and a sparrowhawk visited the garden in the storms, just for our entertainment (or had grass and potential prey anything to do with it?). A lovely area too, with far more to see than we could fit in...we'll just have to go back soon!

We had a wonderful 3 days on Mull in August largley down to our hosts Tim and Linda, not so much the weather. This traditional B&B is down a quiet road a short distance from Fionnaphort with your own separate lounge and breakfast taken in a large kitchen while watching the birds and hares. Linda helped us plan our few days and then booked the trips and the resturaunts for us - a real treat! Their website is one of the best I've used, lots of useful information. If you enjoy nature we would recommend a wildlife tour, saw red deer, otters, eagles and so much more - brilliant. We would go back tomorrow given the chance.

Isle of Mull :) It costs staying several days there.
Maolbhuidhe B&B - bed and breakfast with the name I still cannot pronounce correctly :) but it's Number_ONE bed and breakfast in my rating of Scotland B&B during our 2-weeks trip in may 2011. First of all - the owners - Linda and Tim are very helpful. Linda assisted us in booking trips to near islands, and helped us to book ferry in advance.. it was really pleasure to talk about local life...
As to rooms - wow!
I would like to thanks once again for very warm stayin there.

Room Tip: A lot of space, very clean, very traditional :) I really like it!
