Stayed here for our Silver Anniversary. Room was clean, meals were ok nothing too exciting. There was a "special" on the menu- duck l'orange - for an £8.50 surcharge! Although the hotel was quiet at this time of year I felt we were a bit rushed through our meal. I mentioned a couple of things on the Guest Review card- the sink was cracked and the window in the hallway outside our room was broken. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall a three star stay in a three star hotel.

“Horrible Hotel”

Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa

We had a terrible stay at this hotel. We had reservations for three nights, but checked out after one night. The walls are paper thin, you can hear the TV and talking from the rooms on either side, and every step taken in the room above. The hotel serves meals in 2 sittings, with a set menu with limited choices. They herd you in and herd you out. The food was ok. The hotel also caters to bus tours, so it is was booked and crowded. This hotel had no charm at all. Even with limited choices on Mull, you should be able to do better.

Stayed at this hotel for a 2 night break. Location is ideal, central on the island & close to the ferry. Views from the hotel & all bedrooms are fantastic. Food is perfectly acceptable. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately this is a modern hotel, and has been built with no soundproofing between rooms/floors. If you are a light sleeper you will be kept awake by noise from rooms above/below/adjacent. You can hear people thinking about snoring, and once they start.....

“Do not stay here”

Isle of Mull Hotel & Spa

Poor state of repair, poor cleanliness and worst of all, endless piped in music. The breakfast buffet was truly awful - the food was of poor quality and over cooked. Reception was often not staffed and when it was, staff were not helpful. I would not recommend that anyone stays here. The hotel caters for coach parties and I imagine gets away with a fast turnover. On our first night there were lots of drunken people outside the hotel. Someone wss sick outside of the hotel and in the four days we were there this was not cleaned up. There was rubbish around the hotel and it is next to a building site. All in all, a truly dreadful and overpriced experience.

This was a short break as a treat for my mum and father-in-law, however, my husband and I loved this just as much as they did.
The hotel was really nice, clean, friendly, happy to help in any way.
Food was excellent, (thank you chef).
Management very 'visable' and approachable giving you confidence that they actually cared that your stay went well.
Location was beautiful and the beach walk just lovely. Very peaceful. Would say if you stay here, you do need transport although car hire is available about a mile up the road and I think you can book the local 'bowmans' bus for trips.
The weather was great while we were there so we did see it at it's best, but if you travel in Scotland you know this is not always the case.
The sunrises and sunsets were amazing and we would have no hesitation on returning to this hotel. ( would probably look at a long range weather forecast first). They are also adding a pool and leisure facilities to be ready this summer.
