“....could not fault...!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2011

I recently stayed at this jewel in the crown with a colleage and was instantly impressed by the warm welcome and friendly relaxed atmosphere. The hotel was quiet due to it being the low season and was instantly upgraded to a lochview room which had the most stunning panorama. The bedroom had obviously been remodelled. Exremely comfortable bed and luxurious furnishings, deep carpets, LCD tv with SKY, excellent heating, lovely bathroom with proper towels, nice complementary toiletries, etc etc. This really was a peaceful and relaxing room. Went for dinner and was treated to a lamb shank which was soo tender it fell of the bone. Casual and relaxed service ensued, nothing too much trouble. Thanks Kieran for the superb meal. After a full nights sleep and wakening completely refreshed, we had breakfast downstairs looking over the sea. The cooked breakfast was freshly prepared, the black pudding was meaty, bacon perfectly grilled and the eggs nicely done, copious amounts of tea, coffee, toast etc and the usual continental items on a seperate table for you to help yourself. A right tasty affair! Will certainly be staying here again to the experience warm scottish hospitality at its finest......

Me and my brother stayed for 2 nights. We had been with our wives in june and loved it. I found everything fantastic. From the hosts, food and scenery i couldn,t fault it. December is definitely a good time to go to Mull if you like peace and solitude. We saw all the wildlife we had wanted to see in abundance, then back to the pub for a pint with the locals. GREAT

As a senior couple travelling with another member of the family we found the triple room perfect. It consisted of a double room and a separate single room, both of which had a fabulous view over the bay. The bathroom was large. Decor not state of the art, but rooms were comfortably furnished. The staff were friendly, the restaurant food was great and reasonably priced and the hot breakfast was included in the tariff. We booked the hotel because it was only a 10 minute drive to the ferry to Iona. However our one regret is that we only stayed one night. Had we realised how beautiful the Isle of Mull is we would have planned a longer stay.

Lovely hotel and food with a great view, however the roads in Mull are a death trap - I hope tourism Scotland read this!!!!!!!!

Almost everything about the Argyll Arms is good. Food, location, atmosphere and personnel are all first class and with the planned improvements to the fabric of the Bars and Restaurant this must become a highly sought after destination -even now the Restaurant is full most days! We definitely recommend the Argyll.

we, as a family have the stayed at the hotel for meals, for many years. We have watched it changed hands twice, and the management now is by far the best. Nothing is too much effort, the food is absolutly wonderful, well cooked, nicely presented, and reasonably priced. The views are stunning, right across the bay of the sea. It is a rare treat to see such a good hotel, with such excellent company and varied menu, good wine, and relaxing atmosphere. The only problem is the food is so good that you often have to book in advance to have a meal there. They do takeaways between five and six o'clock which are equally very good value for money. But they are rigid with the times because of the amount of people wanting meals there. It is one place where customers come first because people really matter. {Something lacking in a lot of other restaurants where money comes first.} I would not eat anywhere else, and you would be hard pushed to find somewhere with the same quality as here. Even Bulmers is on draught , and cold too.

Camping out on near by beach, Argyll Arms was very wecoming at food time. Couldnt fault the food plenty to choose from. Waitresses and management all very welcoming/ friendly. However busy they were they also made sure we was fine at our table.
