“Paint Your Own Pottery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2014

Set within a beautiful farm setting, this Pottery and Cafe offer a relaxing atmosphere with lovely hosts Rosemary and Donald. Cannot praise them and their venue highly enough. They are warm and welcoming and offer the chance to design and paint your own pottery. There is a great range of items to paint, from ornaments to large bowls. I take my daughter every year, and we are building a nice collection of unique mementos of our holidays in Islay. If you want to have a glazed piece it is best to visit a few days before you are due to leave so that it will be ready in time (Rosemary does offer p&p too!)
If you don't have time for this you can do items with acrylic paints which can be sprayed with fixative and taken away (they won't be waterproof but they still look great)!
Rosemary is so helpful and patient! She offers excellent instruction and is especially good working with children.
In addition, she has some absolutely stunning pieces of her own design for sale in the pottery.
The cafe offers lovely home-bakjng and also has some outdoor seating for fine days.
Highly recommended if you want a relaxing and creative afternoon with the bonus of great company and a special memento of your visit to the magical island that is Islay.
Five stars just don't do this place justice!

“Fantastic Kids Party”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

We had a joint birthday party for our daughters here. The whole party was seamless, with Rosemary engaging the kids fully in the painting of their chosen pottery. Party food (for the children) and tea & cakes (for the adults) was delicious. A fantastic venue for a children's party (and even an adults one!). There is also a great range of products available to buy.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014 via mobile

Stopped in the persabus after visiting the nearby distillery and got a really nice coffee and sandwiches. The couple who run the place were very friendly and they had nice pottery for sale and you could paint your own if you wanted.

“Good place to while away an hour or two”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

If, like us, you try in vain to visit Bunnahabain distillery only to find that it's opening hours are less than friendly, don't despair! Persabus pottery is on the road to the distillery an an excellent place to stop for tea, home-made cakes, good chat and some pretty pottery. We particularly liked the Highland Coo and the poppy designs.

“A great interest for kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Wall to wall sunshine for your hols and you need an 'out', or a rainy day, then this is the place. Kids can paint a plate, then have it fired by the 'staff'. Rosemary is a soruce of endless help and, for the parents, a much needed and 'proper' cup of tea or coffee. Home-made sandwiches and cakes are a delight and it has real china!
