We reached the sea-side town of Tain in the evening of 26th. Both Allan & Tricia were present when we arrived, and gave us a very warm welcome. That night we had dinner in an excellent Indian joint, called Anisha. Fantastic food, the staff were marvelous. The restaurant comes highly recommended from Allan & Tricia as well. Try the chicken vindaloo at your own peril!! It is HOT.....
The room was a twin, with fantastic views of the Dornoch Firth and farm. The room was spotless with all the usual amenities. The bathroom was excellent with a nice shower. The breakfast was quite good as well, quite tasty and filling. The next day we spent driving up to John O Groats and took a mini-cruise on a largeish boat on the wildlife cruise. A word of advise, I would recommend people go on the speedboats, though it is slightly costlier, you will get a much closer view of the seals and dolphins.
Evening and dinner again at Anisha. Some more specialities of their chef, quite exquisite. I was frankly surprised to see such fantastic Indian joint in the heart of Scotland. Return the next day to Edinburgh to catch our flight back to London.
