“great place to visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

take a walk back in time and see how your ancestors would have spent their days at home, this is a great place to take your children and have a good wander around.

“Now we know who Hugh Miller was!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

No guide but the lady on reception gave us a full background on what to expect . Displays were well written up and a small garden had been developed as a showpiece linking onto Hugh Miller's life history.

Not aware oh Hugh Miller before visiting Cromarty. The museum and the excellent guide book encouraged me to find out more

“Friendly museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

I work for the National Trust so wanted to see the museum in Cromarty. We were not only made welcome, but the staff were more than just friendly. They gave us hints to were the clues were, they helped when my diabetic son wasn't well, they showed us the garden and talked about our area and theirs. Really made my day

“Great little museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

This museum is a good introduction to the character of Hugh Miller, who, although not well known now, was an important figure in his day. He was known as a scientist and social reformer. Highly recommended
