“Lovely place to lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

We had two delicious plates of fish and chips here, really tasty fresh fish and light batter. The location is superb, world class view (it was a beautiful sunny day so could sit outside too) and the staff were very helpful and professional. Really enjoyed it, nice little touches like the pin map for visitors from all over the world.

“OK but expensive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

It was great to sit outdoors for lunch overlooking the beautiful Inner Sound and the islands of Raasay and Skye so on location this restaurant scores well. The fish and chips were OK but very expensive for a fairly small portion and £1.45 dearer than the Waterside at Lochcarron which the Applecross Inn advertises as its 'sister restaurant.' This difference in prices is quite unacceptable.

“Excellent food on the edge of Britain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

Excellent quality food at attractive prices. Unbelievable breadth of menu from such an out of the way place -- at least there are petrol pumps in Applecross now! Would I go again? Of course, but perhaps not over the Belach na baa again!

“Best view from a beer garden?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

We made the spectacular drive across the mountain pass to Applecross and on a beautiful sunny day were lucky to get an outside table in a beer garden that must be a contender for the title for best view in Britain from a pub table. My husband, whose birthday lunch it was was very happy with his choice of locally dressed crab and there was plenty of choice for me (a vegetarian) and our children. Would be essential to book at busy times usually I would think. The alternative drive to/from Applecross is along a winding coast road and is even more spectacular.
