Janet provides accomodation that a 4 star hotel would be proud of. The room is spacious and fitted out to a high standard as is the en suite shower room, as well as the rest of the house, which we were virtually given the run of during our stay. Janet herself couldn't be nicer, friendly without being over the top like in some B&B's, but on hand with lots of help and advice about the area, and cooks a superb breakfast.

Me and my wife who was celebrating her 50th birthday while we were there had a great stay, and would recomend it to anyone. If there is a better place to stay around Applecross it must be very very good.

Thank you for the great time we were able to have.

The phrase "getting away from it all" really does mean what it says here. Janet has created a tranquil home near a loch with seals nearby, sheep outside the window and dozens of birds feeding in her garden.
The accommodation is superb and the breakfasts wholesome and filling.
Nothing is too much trouble as Janet wants you to relax and unwind.
I would recommend Ragged Acre to all my friends, but perhaps I shouldn't tell everyone as we might find the accommodation already booked for our next visit!

Janet made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived with tea and and homemade cake and a word or two on the local area. She recommended a walk from the house. which took us along the coral beach. The room was comfortable, bright and well equipped - right down to the bath robes and slippers and the outstandingly comfortabale bed. A choice of Breakfast too; I recommend the smoked haddock with bacon and poached egg. Great value and great hospitality in a great location. Thank you Janet. We will be back to see you again.

Janet made our 3 night stay a pleasure. The guest room has gorgeous bed linen and is tranquil. The house is a true home and one where we were made to feel at home. After a busy wedding it was the place to relax - stunning scenery and a "landlady" with a difference. We will be back!

“Excellent accommodation in Applecross”

Myself and my husband visited Applecross recently and had a wonderful stay with Janet at Ragged Acre. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and Janet was very informative about places to eat, local walks and the local area.

The room itself was very comfortable, with a great big comfy bed and the breakfasts were amazing!
