Everything about our stay in the ragged acre made for a wonderful break for myself & my partner. From the initial stages of making the booking over the net & asking for special requests & information etc, Janet responded quickly & was very obliging to our individual needs. I am intolerant to dairy but this wasn't a problem with Janet, but accepted like it was an every day matter, which believe me in Scotland is a breath of fresh air!! Janets breakfasts were an absolute delight, served up at a time which suited you & included an array of local delights from the fresh baked bread to the smoked salmon! Beautiful!

The room was perfect with everything you needed and some! Fresh towels, luxurious bedding, tea & coffee plus satellite TV etc. The en suite bathroom was fabulous, even with under floor heating! :)

Applecross is a beautiful area, a real get away from the every day hussle and bustle of city life. And you seriously could not ask for a better hostess!

10/10 and we will be back!

Ragged Acre is by far the best B&B we have stayed in. We spent our last two nights of a trip up north, with Janet, and have to say, wished we had spent the full trip here. Janet immediately made us feel so welcome...as if her home was our home...with such a relaxing and happy atmosphere.

She gave us info on lots of walks around the area, which we thorougly enjoyed, and what a treat it was to sit in front of the wood burning stove in the lounge, afterwards!

Our room, with en-suite was cosy and just so perfect, can't think of anything else that you would have needed in there.

The breakfasts were fantastic...and really did "set us up for the day"! However, that didn't stop us sampling the local eateries...the food in the Potting Shed and The Applecross Inn is
amazing.

The scenery in and around Applecross is unspoilt and breathtakingly beautiful, with spectacular sunsets, and the drive over the Bealach na Ba is in a league of its own! But don't forget to drive back the alternative route...the shore road...it's great too.

The emphasis here is on tranquility and relaxation. What a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of life...just what we needed to remind us of what makes life so good.

Thank you so much Janet for letting us share your beautiful home, and we are counting the days until we make that return visit next year (which we've already booked) !!!

Janet was so welcoming and advised us on all there was to see and do in Applecross.
The en-suite facilities were excellent and the bed extremely comfortable.
Look out for the seals, herons and deer.
Enjoy the access road over the mountain (road rises to over 2000 feet).
We enjoyed the Potting Shed with its walled garden as a place to eat - excellent food.

We stayed at Ragged Acre one night whilst on a cycling tour of the west coast of Scotland, would have liked to have stayed more once we discovered the charm that is Applecross. Ragged Acre was by far the best B& B we used on our tour everything was better than the impression we got from the web site.

The room we stayed in had It had its own en suite very modern shower room and every convenience you could imagine. What made it special was Janet for whom nothing was to much trouble, (She even washed our clothing) and feed us the best breakfast of the trip. Janet also offered to drive us to the pub for our evening meal and picked us up later that evening.

If you want to experience the best of West Coast hospitality then take a look at Ragged Acre and Applecross.

This is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Everything about this place is perfect the rooms are a good size and the bedding is so luxurious. The room has all the mod cons including flat screen digital TV extra wide bath, power shower, and under floor heating. Drinks were provided including filter coffee with fresh milk and every kind of tea imaginable.

The breakfasts are a five star experience with home baked bread and local preserves, fresh fruit, smoked salmon with soft scrabbled eggs, and a full on traditional breakfast. However if you do venture out side Applecross has plenty to offer and Roger (the owner) was full of useful suggestions and very inspiring his attention to detail and hospitality is second to none.

This place really is perfect and so luxurious we both highly recommend staying there and look forward to a repeat visit later this year.
