This hotel has got everything right, down to the last detail. we intended to stay for one night but stayed for two and would have loved to stay more but had to move on. the accomodation is excellent, large, spotlessly clean and modern rooms, fabulous beds and a bathroom to die for.
The food was plentiful and delicious from the dining room to the bar there was choice for all tastes, but the biggest bonus for guests has to be the staff, nothing was too much trouble and the friendly welcome and service throughout was second to none, the fact that The Lovat is set in one of Scotlands loveliest locations is the cherry on the cake

Stayed Two nights in March 2008 for £150
My boyfriend and I were looking for a hotel within the viscinity of Loch Ness for a birthday weekend away. The Lovat arms had had good reviews and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous room with a bed wider than I am tall (5ft 9") and a brand new spacious bathroom. We ate in the hotel for our first night and were pleasently surprised at the value for money. The bar is decorated quite differently to the rest of the hotel which has a traditional theme. The bar is contemporarily styled and is fresh and comfortable. Nice to have the two contrasting areas (you could eat in the restraunt if you wished). My boyfriend had the thai green curray and I had the mussels, both were lovely and served by the pleasently friendly staff.
The staff within the hotel were all lovely and helpful and gave the impression nothing was too big a problem for them to do for you.
Its worth asking when you book for a large bed with a view of the loch as both these requests were met for our stay.
In short we will definetely be returning, a fabulous hotel. Beatuful surroundings and luxurious at a really good price!

Karen and myself stayed with you over the Valentines weekend, it was our first wedding anniversary. We had a fantastic time, the location, the scenery everything was simply fantastic.



The hotel!!! – the hotel was superb, the staff friendly and nothing was too much trouble (even asking for tea bags and milk at 11pm! Caroline gave us a cup of tea bags and a little flask of fresh milk, class!). The food was fantastic (I’m your ideal guest really, full of compliments!!). Our stay was relaxed the facilities top notch. Seriously I cant praise the staff and hotel enough. Karen and I spent an hour by the fire (sat on the floor) playing domino’s, the place is simply so relaxed and the people so very genuine. Caroline’s attitude is professional and more importantly, very genuine.



This was our first trip to Scotland and I have to say, you made it very special.

We have just returned from a lovely two day break, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Caroline and her staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Being hoteliers ourselves, we can appreciate all the hardwork that goes into making guests feel welcome and relaxed. Our room was spotless and a luxurious bed that was very comfortable.
