New hotel! Yea! - I thought! Until I ran into the staff. I would first like to say that the hotel is beautiful and still has that new smell. Rooms are very nice. Except the beds are quite tall and hard for someone with hip problems to hike their leg up and onto.
Now to the staff - When we checked in they didn't have my reservation down for two nights - they had me listed for only one. But not a problem they were able to put me up another night. However, the check-in lady (can't remember her name) wanted to know who I talked to over the phone. She kept asking in a very angry tone - which made me think that she was trying to "convict" a co-worker of a crime.
I also went to the lobby to ask the check-in lady a question, but she wasn't there. I waited and waited, and waited, and waited ....... I noticed that she was sitting outside smoking with a guy. I walked outside to ask her the question. If I were a criminal, I could have robbed the place - there was no one looking after the main computer, behind the desk, or back room.
The breakfast lady - Sunny, was rude to me the first day as she yelled out, " breakfast is not ready yet!! and I have until 7:00a.m. to get it out." I was there at 6:50 a.m.
The next day was July 5th and our last day there. We wanted to leave early for our very long travel, but breakfast was at 7: a.m. and not a minute earlier. However, Ms. Sunny did not show up. Hungry people were gathered around waiting for their breakfast and wanting to leave but "No Sunny"..
When I complained to "Mike" the lobby check-in guy - he just said that she will be late. I complained again in another 15 minutes when she still had not arrived and he said that she should be there anytime in a phony caring voice. I asked for my bill to reflect a lack of a breakfast - Mike said he would handle that request -- HAHAHAHAHA...I was still billed and I had to foot the bill for my family to eat breakfast out. When I asked for the managers name he "shoved" the card for Manager Don in my hands.
MARK MY WORDS!! IF THIS HOTEL DOESN'T CHANGE THEIR STAFF THE PEOPLE WON'T COME!!!
With unemployment so high I can't believe that Comfort Suites of Manchester can't hire quality staff. The new hotel rates an A plus, but the staff (which brings the quality of our stay) rates a F.
