We stayed here during a tour of the North of Scotland. Our visit was the highlight of our tour.
A lot of thought has gone into the bedrooms, making good use of period furniture. Our room was very comfortable and very homely. There was a spacious en-suite bathroom stocked with Moulton Brown toiletries and a good supply of luxurious towels.
We just fell in love with lounge which is filled with an extensive collection of books. Bibliophiles will enter the lounge and will never want to leave!
Dinner was excellent. Each course was a delight, with a wide variety of flavours working together to provide memorable dishes. There is an excellent selection of wines for such a small establishment, with the very knowledgeable Kerensa on hand to provide guidance in choosing a wine, if required. The menu is set although you are asked if you have any dislikes or dietary requirements when you book. Michael is an excellent Chef and obviously loves cooking. Breakfast was also excellent, bringing our short visit to a wonderful conclusion.
Kerensa and Michael have created a truly unique and superb establishment. You must visit. We will visit again as soon as we can.
