Wanted to visit after reading the review and knew we would be passing through on the way home from a short break. Their cakes looked ok and what we had was very good so a really good start. However, the coffee was very poor. They advertise a flat white. They actually off er two sizes which in my humble opinion isn't quite right but never mind. My flat white came and it was basically a white coffee, ie, not steamed milk! The texture of my drink/the milk was simply wrong. They would easily have noticed this when either pouring the milk into the cup but also when carrying it over. So, not a flat white but a milky white coffee. Does it matter? Yes. If you are going to offer these speciality coffees, then serve them correctly. If you're not trained to know how they should be, then don't serve them? I can only assume that this is the case, ie they do not know how this should be served or they just don't care and assume that the customer doesn't know how it should be. Flat whites are also usually more expensive than a white coffee so this is another reason why this is important. Why did I put a review on trip adviser rather than ask for a replacement coffee? They did not ask me if everything was ok. Neither once we had started eating/drinking, nor at the point when I gave them money. My assumption is that they really didn't care. That's a shame.
