Stayed on a Saturday night after a wine tasting event at Harrison Fine Wines earlier that afternoon. Very comfortable room, excellent curtesy from the owners. Very good breakfast in the morning.
Would highly recommend a stay here...

Excellent B&B, only wish I'd had room for some fresh eggs from the cute hens in the garden but fresh fruit salad and porridge just as I like it with local home-made raspberry jam was more than sufficient. Friendly and two minutes walk from The Tower with good dinner, company and malt whiskies!

Room Tip: Room on the back for view and seeing the hens in the garden. Well maintained granite building and th...

Karen,
Many thanks for your great reviews, both here and on booking.com Shame that you didn't get to try some of the eggs from the girls, but as you say there are plenty of other things to sample!! Sounds like the hospitality at our nearest pub, The Tower Gastro Pub, was right up your street...!!! The rooms at the back do have great views with the added benefit of keeping an eye on the hens as well...

Booked to attend a friend's wedding nearby. From the moment I had booked I had a personal email confirming and enquiring about specific arrangements. We were able to access the room in time to change at 12.30 and found a spotlessly clean, comfortable room with all mod cons. Couldn't fault it. Breakfast was amazing - beautiful home-cooked food tasted delicious and the whole experience was relaxing.

Man thanks again

A friend and I stayed one night for a conference nearby. The owners were really friendly and our room was very clean an comfortable. The home baking in the room was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend it and will stay there again at some point.

The chickens greeted us on arrival and our dog Ceilidh was fascinated by them. The owners gave us a warm welcome as well.
It is a lovely and well maintained house and we felt at home straight away. The room while small was comfortable and the shower a good size. The home baking was a brilliant touch.
Breakfast was well cooked and relaxing. We were well looked after (even our dog) and we were given excellent walking directions to the distillery.
We enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed an extra night.
We would recommend this B&B and will be back.

Keith,
Many thanks for your great review, good to hear that our welcome was of the same high standard as the chickens!! It's really nice to hear that you felt at home and enjoyed the home-baking. It is quite a pleasant walk to The Famous Grouse Distillery with the added bonus that you can enjoy the whisky samples without worrying about driving! They also have a great cafe there with a roaring log-effect fire.
We were so glad that we were able to accommodate you for an extra night and we look forward to welcoming you and Ceilidh back in the future.

Enjoyed a family break in the self catering apartment. Well equipped, clean, with some lovely treats on arrival. We specially enjoyed Stella's homemade shortbread, and there are happy chickens out the back. Also very handy for dining at Yann's across the road where we had an excellent meal.

Lara,
So glad that you and your family enjoyed your short stay in our self-catering apartment. We are very lucky to have such a good restaurant as Yann's so close by, not only for our guests, it is our favourite as well!!
The chickens are always happy to see people, especially if you bring them food!

This was all that a B&B should be. Friendly without being too chatty. Thoughtful of what our needs could be, and supplying them before we asked (eg fresh milk always available for tea/coffee, lots of maps, etc. Comfortable, warm. A really well thought through B&B.

Room Tip: Front rooms face the main road, back rooms are much quieter.

Many thanks for your great review. We always have fresh milk available, to me tea without it just doesn't taste the same!! thanks for all your other comments.
