I stayed here recently on business, as I was attending an event at Gleneagles and they were full. I booked it on the recommendation of a colleague, who lives near by and had told me the hotel had a good reputation. I wasn't disappointed! When we arrived at the hotel, the staff were very busy setting up the restaurant for a large dinner function that evening. However, they still took time to check us in and make us feel welcome.
The building itself is lovely and escpecially nice at this time of year decked out for Christmas! I was delighted with my room, it was massive and absolutley spotless. The beds (there were 2 doubles) were very comfy and I had a great nights sleep! There was also a seating area and large dressing table which were also really well appointed. Only slight drawback was that I couldn't get my TV remote to work - hardly a major catastrophe!
I think that my colleague and I were the only people staying in the hotel that night as it seemed deserted in the morning. However, helpful memebers of staff were on hand for breakfast and check out. Despite the hotel being quiet, nothing was too much trouble for them. I'd be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.
