Stayed here on an overnight trip to the Orkney Isles, which I will visit again as they are beautiful.
This hotel was the most random with lots and lots of plus and minus points, the hotel itself is charming and rustic reflecting the era it was built in. The staff were all marvellous and I enjoyed a good pint in the perrie inn with a lovely roaring fire. The food at dinner was of good value and quality.
On the negative side the hotel is dire need in the rooms of modernization, an attempt seems to be made a few decades ago but this is beside the original features. This makes most of the changes I seen pretty pointless! The room I was in had a massive bath but no shower.
Overall I would probaly stay here again if on the early ferry home but if not I think its Kirkwall next time.
